Victorian Cookery Book - Most people think of Mrs Beeton when they think of Victorian Cookery, however Mrs Marshall was also a well thought of cookery expert during the 1880's and 1890's until her death in 1905 when the rights to her book were bought by Mrs Beeton's publisher and taken out of print. Mrs Marshall was know as "The Queen of Ices" as she was an expert in frozen desserts at a time before refrigeration. Mrs Marshall is thought to be the inventor of the ice cream cone - recipe is in the book
